The transparency of our transparent fibreglass panels is primarily determined by our high-quality resin. To achieve cost advantages, standard FRP panels typically use ordinary unsaturated polyester resin, which may contain a high level of impurities or components with low stability; when exposed to UV radiation over the long term, this can lead to resin oxidation, molecular chain breakage and yellowing. In contrast, our Transparent Fibreglass Sheets utilise a high-transparency resin system to enhance light transmission. Furthermore, another key factor contributing to their high transparency is the uniform passage of light through the FRP panels. During production, uneven distribution of glass fibres can lead to inconsistent light refraction and visible surface ripples. YIKORFRP® therefore addresses these issues by controlling the glass fibre reinforcement layer through a continuous moulding process.
