What Are the Advantages of Our CFRT Sheets?

CFRT sheets offer a lightweight alternative to traditional metallic materials. Compared with steel, they achieve weight reductions of up to 70–80% and possess high tensile strength and impact resistance.

Our CFRT panels utilise continuous fibres arranged in a specific orientation, enabling the fibres to withstand mechanical loads efficiently. Compared with traditional chopped-fibre FRP panels, CFRT panels can offer 3–5 times the strength.

The flexible thermoplastic matrix prevents brittle fracture. It offers superior durability under dynamic loads. CFRT sheets are commonly used in automotive protective panels, lorry body panels and battery protection structures

As our CFRT sheets utilise a thermoplastic matrix, they offer good resistance to water, salt spray and industrial chemicals. They incur lower long-term maintenance costs and have a longer service life. They are particularly suitable for marine and outdoor applications.

YIKORFRP® CFRT sheets utilise thermoplastic polymers. Unlike traditional materials, they can therefore be recycled, thereby reducing waste generation. This aligns with the policy requirements of several developed countries.

Our CFRT sheets offer excellent design flexibility. They can be tailored to different applications, providing you with a range of solutions. Their exceptional flexibility allows engineers to take a comprehensive approach to meeting various requirements.

Our CFRT sheets offer varying levels of high-temperature resistance depending on the resin type. PP CFRT withstands temperatures of 80–100°C, whilst PPS CFRT withstands temperatures of ≥250°C.

Our thermoplastic composite panels offer excellent noise and vibration damping properties, lower vibration transmission, and enhanced occupant comfort. They are the ideal choice for RVs and vans.
High Strength CFRT Sheets
The strength of the CFRT panels you purchase depends primarily on the quality of the bond between the continuous fibre reinforcement layers. Our production line utilises a three-stage high-temperature hot-press bonding process. This technology ensures that the thermoplastic resin matrix is thoroughly melted and penetrates between the layers, thereby completely eliminating the risk of subsequent cracking in the panels. First, the primary pre-press rollers apply light pressure to expel air from between the layers. This is immediately followed by the second set of main press rollers, which constitutes the critical stage. Processing temperatures can reach 215°C–275°C, with pressures of up to 45 MPa. However, at the third set of press rollers, the pressure is reduced to 20 MPa to ensure that the sheet is compacted in a stable and uniform manner.

Consistent Quality CFRT Sheets
YIKORFRP® continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic sheets are produced using an in-line inspection system to ensure that every sheet meets your performance and dimensional requirements. During production, the system continuously monitors data and automatically flags defects. A laser thickness gauge samples the CFRT sheets 10 times per second, maintaining thickness tolerances within ±0.03 millimeters. Our infrared scanner detects internal defects such as micro-pores and delamination, preventing hidden quality issues. At the same time, our AI-powered vision inspection system accurately identifies surface defects. By combining precision measurement, internal defect detection, and intelligent quality control, we provide high-quality products for your industrial applications.
Exceptional Flatness CFRT Sheets
Our CFRT sheets achieve exceptional flatness and dimensional stability through an advanced multi-stage gradient cooling process. Following hot pressing, the temperature of the thermoplastic composite sheets remains at around 180°C; sudden cooling would cause warping and deformation. We resolve this issue perfectly by gradually cooling the sheets using eight sets of synchronised cooling rollers. Furthermore, throughout the cooling process, the temperature difference between the upper and lower rollers is maintained at ≤3°C. The synchronised movement of the rollers minimises stretching, wrinkling and deformation of the CFRT sheets. This is the primary reason why our CFRT sheets achieve such excellent flatness, making them the ideal choice for your project.

What Are the Applications for Our CFRT Sheets?

Logistics lorries carry heavy loads over long periods and are subject to impacts from gravel and corrosion from salt-treated road surfaces. Traditional steel sheets are highly prone to rust and add significant weight. In contrast, the orthotropically layered CFRT sheets we manufacture offer the advantages of high impact strength and resistance to wear, acids and alkalis. Weighing just a quarter of the weight of steel, our CFRT sheets enable you to increase your payload and reduce fuel consumption.

RV construction demands extremely high standards for lightweight design and moisture resistance. The CFRT honeycomb core panels we manufacture are lightweight, effectively reducing the overall vehicle load. Thin solid CFRT decorative sheets have a smooth surface that is easy to clean. PET foam core CFRT sandwich panels provide significant shock absorption and noise reduction, enhancing your comfort on long-distance trips. Furthermore, all our panels are recyclable and comply with European and American RV environmental regulations.

CFRT sheets offer excellent impact resistance and are widely used in battery pack protective base plates, motor compartment covers, and lightweight body partitions. While reducing vehicle weight to extend range, multi-directional CFRT sheets also provide resistance to gravel impact. The thermoplastic material allows for localized thermal repair, reducing overall vehicle maintenance costs.

Rail vehicles are characterised by prolonged exposure to high-frequency vibrations and significant daily temperature fluctuations; the materials used must therefore meet requirements for fatigue resistance, flame retardancy and lightweight construction. The continuous fibre structure of our CFRT panels resists deformation under repeated vibrations and presents no risk of delamination or cracking. This effectively reduces the vehicle’s unladen weight, thereby lowering energy consumption on the track, and meets your rail infrastructure requirements.

The marine environment is characterised by high levels of salt spray and significant diurnal temperature variations. Ordinary steel is highly susceptible to rust, whilst timber is prone to rot. Anti-corrosion solid CFRT sheets are fully resistant to seawater and salt spray corrosion; they do not absorb water and are impervious to insect infestation. The smooth surface of CFRT sheets prevents marine organisms from adhering to them. This significantly reduces the costs of rust removal and anti-corrosion maintenance for your vessel.

Photovoltaic equipment is exposed to the elements year-round, extreme temperatures and corrosion from rain. We incorporate UV-resistant materials into our CFRT sheets, ensuring they remain stable. Free from deformation and chalking for 25 years when used outdoors. Furthermore, the lightweight nature of CFRT sheets makes them easy to handle and install when fitting photovoltaic systems on rooftops. They are the perfect alternative to heavy metal base plates and also reduce the load on the mounting structures. They can meet all your sheet material requirements for distributed photovoltaic systems and energy storage power stations.

Temporary structures require rapid assembly, waterproofing, durability and reusability. The CFRT sandwich panels we manufacture are produced as a single, integrated unit. We can cut grooves into them at the factory according to your requirements, allowing for direct assembly and installation on site. Furthermore, their waterproof and moisture-resistant properties ensure they will not warp, even when exposed to rain or snow outdoors. Once a project is complete, the panels can be shredded, recycled and reprocessed, making them ideally suited for temporary site accommodation, field units and portable toilets.
CFRT Sheets Customised Solutions
YIKORFRP® offers comprehensive customization solutions for CFRT sheets. These include customization of layup structures, base materials, sandwich composite structures, standard dimensions, functional properties, finished product processing, and surface finishes. With seven categories of customization options, we can meet all your needs.
The layup structure often determines the mechanical properties of your CFRT sheets. We can adjust the layup angles and the number of layers. For special applications, we can also customize asymmetric, specialized structures based on your needs. Additionally, depending on the specific requirements of different scenarios, you may need custom sandwich composite structures. If you are manufacturing lightweight sandwich panels, you can choose from different core materials and thicknesses. For example, PP honeycomb cores are suitable for cold chain vehicle compartments and RVs, while PET foam cores are suitable for battery protection cases.
After we have manufactured your CFRT sheets, we can perform pre-shipment processing based on your requirements for further processing of the finished product. This reduces the cost of secondary processing after you receive the sheets. We can perform precision drilling, slotting, chamfering, and rounded edge finishing. In addition, we can perform pre-bending, edge sealing, and custom cutting. If you require a porosity of less than 0.5%, we can also use high-end precision equipment to meet your needs.
