Furthermore, our premium smooth FRP panels feature a glass fibre content of up to 45% for you; for every 5% increase in glass fibre content, the coefficient of thermal expansion is reduced by approximately 5% to 10%. Another key factor is that, in addition to utilising automated production lines equipped with continuous moulding technology, YIKORFRP® employ a double-sided gel coat balancing structure to ensure stress equilibrium and maintain the panel’s flatness.

Our smooth FRP panels are manufactured using a highly cross-linked resin system, a continuous moulding process under constant temperature and pressure, and high-quality gel coat. Your water absorption rate of smooth FRP panels is less than 0.5%, whereas that of PVC panels is typically around 1.5%. Automated resin impregnation results in a denser internal structure for smooth FRP panels, reducing capillary water absorption pathways and enhancing moisture resistance. Consequently, they are ideally suited for high-humidity, sterile environments such as your cold stores, food processing plants and hospitals.
Hygienic and Easy-to-Clean Smooth FRP Panels
Our smooth FRP panels are manufactured using continuous moulding with mirror-finish moulds, resulting in a surface finish that meets the cleanliness standards of standard sanitary-grade stainless steel. We use a high-performance gel coat with a thickness of 0.3–0.5 mm for you, ensuring a smooth, flat surface free from glass fibre burrs. YIKORFRP® also employ a continuous compression moulding process for you, using rollers to evenly level the resin and prevent the bubbles and wrinkles commonly found in hand-lay-up processes. During production, we incorporate silver ion (Ag+) antimicrobial masterbatch for you, ensuring the antimicrobial components are evenly distributed throughout the entire resin layer, rather than simply being sprayed onto the surface.
