YIKORFRP® PU Foam Sandwich Panels by Features

Fiberglass-reinforced polyurethane foam core sandwich panels (double-sided FRP) are ideal for indoor environments that require frequent cleaning. Their smooth, flat surfaces make them suitable for refrigerated trucks and mobile cold storage units.

CFRT PU Foam Core Panels feature a continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic surface layer, making them ideal for vehicle bodies that require thin composite cladding. Suitable for van composite panels, RVs, and caravans.

CFRT is used on the exterior to enhance the panel’s overall impact resistance and reduce weight. FRP is used on the interior to improve surface smoothness and make cleaning and maintenance easier. Reinforcing elements or reinforcing frames can be embedded inside the panel.

PU Foam Core Wall Panels are widely used for vehicle side panels due to their high flatness, impact resistance, and thermal insulation properties. We offer CNC machining for windows and door frames.

PU Foam Core Sandwich Panels can also be used as roof panels. Our PU Core Composite Panels feature an anti-warping design that ensures excellent stability even for large-size panels.

Stable PU Foam Sandwich Panels
Delamination between the surface layer and the core material essentially results from the failure to form a stable bonded interface. When the panel is subjected to bending or vibration, this weak interface eventually leads to voids or separation. For FRP facings, we remove release agents and contaminants that may affect adhesion by carefully controlling sanding, dust removal, and cleaning processes. For CFRT facings, we use plasma treatment or specialized priming methods—depending on the thermoplastic resin system—to enhance the adhesive’s wetting and bonding capabilities on the surface. For PU core materials, after sanding and vacuum dust removal, we perform automated two-component dispensing and metered coating. In addition, we verify the bonding stability of each batch of your products through flat-tensile tests, failure mode documentation, and necessary temperature cycling tests. We will only deliver the panels to you once we are certain there are no issues.

The dimensions and thickness of our PU-insulated composite panels are generally determined according to your requirements and intended application. Typically, the length of PU core composite panels ranges from 2 m to 12 m, with a maximum of 13.5 m. Standard panel widths range from 1,000 mm to 3,200 mm. Thicknesses range from 10 mm to 120 mm. Yes, that’s no problem. You can evaluate the material samples, adhesive test specimens, machined samples, or first-article panels we provide before mass production begins. We will then use the samples, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), surface treatment requirements, and inspection standards approved by you as the basis for manufacturing our PU Foam Core Sandwich Panels. This ensures consistency in quality between the samples and the production run.
